Baking shows make me feel so cozy, and making Christmas cookies to share with my family's neighbors has been a fun tradition of ours for years. This year's Holiday Dragon freebie is inspired by one of the most popular and famous Christmas cookies made... the Gingerbread DRAGON! Maybe I'll have to try and make one of these in real life next year... Thank you all for another wonderful year and I sincerely hope each of you has a lovely stitchy holiday into the new year!

Did you ever wonder what made Rudolph so different from the other reindeer and how his nose glowed so strongly through that fabled foggy Christmas Eve? Well, maybe he was a reinDRAGON! This Rudolph uses dragon magic to lead Santa's sleigh and deliver presents to all the good children around the world. I hope you enjoy this fantastical take on a Christmas classic! It is tradition in America to eat turkey and lots of delicious sides with friends and family on Thanksgiving. My family also has a tradition of saying aloud what you are thankful for. So I will type it here! I am thankful for all of my customers and the support I have gotten from the stitchy community. It is such a blessing to be able to make a little extra money from doing something I love and sharing it with others. It is so amazing to know that my cross stitch creatures are being stitched all around the globe. So THANK YOU! Hoping to be able to continue making you all wonderful, new, fantastical patterns in the future.

I'm not feeling particularly in the spooky mood for October this year, but recently I've been thinking about carnivorous plant monsters, and I decided that could be spooky enough to whip out a design for October! This plant has a very picky diet, and yes it HAS to be human. Warning, doo-wap showtunes may invade your brain if you decide to stitch up this rare flytrap.

Naga are snakelike creatures featured in the folklore of South Asia, as well as the religions of Hinduism and Buddhism. The Naga motif is commonly used in decoration across South Asia, including Laos, Thailand, and Cambodia. Intricate and colorful Naga statues and carvings are featured on temples, art installations, boats, and signs. They are deeply connected to the Mekong River which runs through each of these countries. Some say that real life Naga live within the river, causing abnormal wave patterns and leaving their slithering tracks behind them.

Happy Holidays to all of you! Perhaps, like me, you haven't felt quite in the holiday spirit this year. You may have made the tough decision to stay at home and skip traveling to be with loved ones due to the pandemic and the desire keep each other healthy. I'm thankful to those of you who are doing just that! I'm also thankful for the electronic screens that enabled me to see my family today... even though we are far apart! These dragons are doing the same thing.

This model was stitched with a majority of Colour & Cotton threads, but the pattern includes DMC conversions. Model is stitched on a 32-count linen in Stardust by Hand Dyed Fabrics by Stephanie.

For 2019, I wanted to make sure I was celebrating diverse holiday traditions with my yearly dragons. This fellow is styled after the Menorah, an important part of the Jewish celebration of Hanukkah. Thanks for stitching another year with me. I hope you all enjoy stitching this dragon, and to those of you who celebrate, have a Happy Hanukkah!

On one day in early February, humans around the world will all unite in one common cause... celebrating the Superb Owl. That's not quite correct...? Oh... then what will I do with this cosmic owl I've summoned? It definitely looks like it is expecting something... Maybe if a few of us stitch up its likeness, it will leave the planet in peace!

Well, nearly another year has gone by and Christmas is upon us again.
For my family, Christmas Eve is the day we celebrate together. We go to church, we eat a light dinner, and then we gather round to open gifts and play games, enjoying and thankful for each other's company. I know that not all of you who stitch my designs celebrate Christmas, but I feel like the idea of community and celebrating those who you love by giving gifts is something which can be universal! Here is a gift for you all, to celebrate the end of another year and to show my appreciate for all of your support which has carried Ingleside Imaginarium through to another year. This is the Christmas Dragon 2018 freebie. Please feel free to save these photos and stitch at your leisure. This year, it is inspired by the golden stars which are popular this time of year. Happy Holidays to all! Here's to another year!
